Modern Cupping as Applied to Massage - 13 CEUs

with Chris Ormseth

This class covers traditional to modern day cupping including history, how it progressed, different cupping methods with focus on advantages and disadvantages of each type of cupping, treatment protocols, contraindications and precautions, and hands on work with the different types of cupping. The morning is all lecture and demonstration and the afternoon is all hands on. I supply all of the cups for class but if you do have a cupping set you want to bring, please do so.

Discovering Integrative CranioSacral Therapy - 14 CEUs

with Matthew Howe

Discovering Integrative Craniosacral Therapy is a hands-on workshop designed to open the door to a fantastic modality.  This 14 CE hour workshop will give students the ability to use Integrative Craniosacral Therapy (ICST) in their treatments from the start.  The lecture touches on the osteopathic history, current understandings, and clinical applications.  The time spent on the tables focuses on cultivating touch while blending a new approach with the student's current toolbox.  12 differing techniques are demonstrated and practiced as individual tools also in a sequence.  Dedicated time balances lecture with hands-on allowing integration of learning and doing.

CranioSacral with Matthew Howe - 14 CEUs

Matthew Howe will be offering a supplemental class on April 13 & 14 at the Heritage Center. 

(This an extra class offered by Matthew and is not required as part of the 14 CEUs. It is only required if you wish to be certified in the Foundations of Integrative CranioSacral Therapy)

The two-day, 10-hour, bonus class will fulfill the attendee's requirement to gain a certificate of completion in the Foundations of Integrative CranioSacral Therapy.  A total of 24 CE will be issued upon completion of the four days.  Students that choose to participate can anticipate learning an additional eight techniques focusing on the cranial bones.  There is a more in-depth exploration into diaphragmatic treatment tools.  Students will also practice from different protocols under supervision and support.  The supplemental class will provide students with additional time and interaction with the instructor.  This assistance cultivates more confidence and integration between what they learn and what they already do as they explore a new approach to wellness and treatment.
